Mackenzie is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Acadia where she majored in both Psychology and Nutrition.  Mackenzie’s training in physical and mental health will be invaluable in her role as Director of Wellbeing and Community Engagement. Having summited Mount Kilimanjaro twice and led numerous expeditions for disadvantaged youth here in Canada, Mackenzie brings both physical stamina and heart to Landing Strong. Her experiences as a wilderness first responder and facilitating group debriefing exercises make Mackenzie uniquely qualified for this position.

Formally a nationally ranked biathlete and varsity cross-country runner, Mackenzie thrives at tasks that are both mentally and physically challenging in nature.

Driven to create programs that are physically engaging and foster a connection with nature, Mackenzie’s passion for living a healthy, balanced life is evident and contagious.

Mackenzie is developing much of the promotional and educational resources we distribute, and manages any accessibility issues that arise within the day-to-day programming.
