With nearly 20 years as a Nova Scotia paramedic, Joanna brings a unique level of understanding and empathy for emergency services, first responders, and health care professionals. Her interests also include supporting people living with trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, addiction, and helping to foster overall mental health and wellness.

Joanna is currently is a Registered Counselling Therapist with a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Working within a client-centered, strength-based, and collaborative approach, she focuses on helping her clients feel safe and comfortable, empowered and capable.

Joanna’s creative side extends to her love of art, painting, and jewelry design. Some of her favorite things to do involve spending time by the ocean and exploring nature, gardening, cooking, fitness, and yoga.
